Tech Tip: Outlook “For Follow Up” Feature

Each day, your email inbox is constantly being filled with new message, along with old ones that that get left behind. Somewhere in that inbox is an important message that you need to follow up on, but what will remind you? There's a tool to help you right within Outlook!

How to create a For Follow Up Folder:

Click the Folder tab on the top of Outlook: File > New > Search Folder

The New Search Dialog Box will pop up, click Mail Flagged for follow up.

Setting Default Applications in Windows 10

Setting a default application will make sure that when you click a link or file it will open in the preferred application. This useful when it comes to a default internet browser.

Here's how you can set your default application!

Step 1: Click the Windows start menu and type default on the keyboard, then select Default app settings

Step 2: In this menu you can select what you prefer! Once its selected Windows will open files in that preferred app.

Create Website shortcuts for your Desktop

There are two ways to create a desktop shortcut for a website on your desktop.

In Internet Explorer, open the website you’d like to save. Right-click any blank space on the webpage. A context window will pop up and click Create Shortcut.

You will get a dialogue ox asking you if you want to put the shortcut on your desktop.
